Design is all about scale, mass, context, and use. Whether one is creating the next soaring urban tower or connecting something new with the ancient, the same core values and methodology apply. My attention to these governing forces allow me to move effortlessly between genres. While my focus of late has been with historical structures; renovations, restorations and repurposing, the ability to create the next new building technology and aesthetic is guided by the same principles.

Cafe Intermezzo
Worcester, PA
Designed as a cafe with light fare, this client wanted a space for customers to have many meeting and seating opportunities. Interior and exterior table seating provide all a variety of choices. Complimented by a bar area, a “living room” with couch and chairs by the see-thru fireplace are adjacent to a private conference / meeting room. All are served by a full kitchen in the back of house and accessible bathrooms.
