Design is all about scale, mass, context, and use. Whether one is creating the next soaring urban tower or connecting something new with the ancient, the same core values and methodology apply. My attention to these governing forces allow me to move effortlessly between genres. While my focus of late has been with historical structures; renovations, restorations and repurposing, the ability to create the next new building technology and aesthetic is guided by the same principles.

Family Room Study
This quick study enabled our client to realize the proposed ceiling, ceiling beam and pilasters, and stair railing in the context of the space. These types of exercises are invaluable in the decision making process and, ultimately, the construction of any proposed detail(s).
