Design is all about scale, mass, context, and use. Whether one is creating the next soaring urban tower or connecting something new with the ancient, the same core values and methodology apply. My attention to these governing forces allow me to move effortlessly between genres. While my focus of late has been with historical structures; renovations, restorations and repurposing, the ability to create the next new building technology and aesthetic is guided by the same principles.

A simple garage conversion into an artist’s studio and office was first developed in model form for the client’s review. A much better understanding of the space and possible artwork display was made possible through this type of presentation.
