Design is all about scale, mass, context, and use. Whether one is creating the next soaring urban tower or connecting something new with the ancient, the same core values and methodology apply. My attention to these governing forces allow me to move effortlessly between genres. While my focus of late has been with historical structures; renovations, restorations and repurposing, the ability to create the next new building technology and aesthetic is guided by the same principles.

Connecting the past and the present for the future
Blessed Katherine Drexel Church
Chester, PA
This Catholic Church in Chester had no accessible entrance to it’s nave level. The existing grade, parking lot and landscaping allowed for a gradual “dog leg” ramp, new stairs and exterior stage / platform at the main entrance. Ashlar laid stonework on the ramp’s exterior blended with the existing masonry on the Church. New raised landscaping further blended these modifications to the surroundings.
