Cosmas & Damian Church

This project started as an accessibility study for the Church, Rectory and Parking lot. A Catholic Church, the main entrance is perpendicular to this entry, accessible only through climbing a vast flight of stairs. Adjacent to the parking lot, we crafted an entry to the side or cross entrance to the Church which allowed easy wheelchair and pedestrian access. A bonus to the design, we were able to form a central pavilion, or rest, with access to two newly created courtyards.
