Design is all about scale, mass, context, and use. Whether one is creating the next soaring urban tower or connecting something new with the ancient, the same core values and methodology apply. My attention to these governing forces allow me to move effortlessly between genres. While my focus of late has been with historical structures; renovations, restorations and repurposing, the ability to create the next new building technology and aesthetic is guided by the same principles.

An existing pool covered by a derelict greenhouse was transformed into a multi leveled garden and terrace. Proposed as a project to be carried out in phases, this design incorporated the existing pool with new flagstone copings, bands and a brick herringbone patterned field. Additional focal points introduced were a whirlpool / waterfall on the radius end and a fountain / pool on an intermediate level.
